Unwrapping UVs

This doc goes over unwrapping UVs for your custom Avatar in Roblox using Blender.

  • Select 'UV Editing' at the top of the Blender Window.

  • In 'Edit Mode', select all the polygons that you would like to be one color and finish.

  • If you are using a gradient texture, go to a side view and use 'Project from view' in the UV menu. If you are using a simple texture, any UV approach is fine.

  • Right mouse click in the UV window, and select 'Align Vertically'. If using a simple texture, apply 'Align Horizontally' as well.

  • Position your aligned polygon to the color, gradient and finish.

  • Continue process until all polygons are assigned where they need to be.
